Shifting to a new place, into a new house, having an entirely fresh experience, fun isn’t it? It is always good if you have a companion with you but if you are single, it is even better as you can have the whole place to yourself! You can decorate it as you want and live a life on your own terms.

Well, enough of preaching about single life, let’s get to a few useful ideas that will help you design your new space so that it looks spacious, cozy, and wait for it…….stylish as well!

Your bedroom is the one place that offers the best recluse in the house. When you move to a new place, you can opt for single bed mattress on rentals. Rental services are easy on budget and are a great option for those who keep changing places.

Here are a few tips and tricks that will help you design your single bedroom in a way that you will love -

Keep the clutter at bay

Clutter can make your single bedroom look cramped for space; don’t do that to the place you’ll be relaxing and sleeping in. Be minimalistic while designing your room. Keep the things that you can’t do without and remove any extra furniture or décor. Take a single bed mattress on rental that will be a central piece, and you can add a chair and table to it.

Scale your décor according to you bed

With your bed being the central piece of your bedroom, it becomes essential to size the décor of the room as per that. Table lamps, wall hangings, photo frames, all should be in proportion to the bed.  You can have a fantastic painting placed just above your bed which will help draw the attention away from the rest of the room.

Choose a light color theme

Light colors result in an optical illusion that gives the feeling of roominess while darker shades tend to make a place look congested.  Lighten up your walls and furnishings in subtle hues that make the room look more open. You can go for a two-color theme, like pink and white or cream and white. But, if a darker color is your choice, then you can introduce it in through the décor and accessories like pillows, rugs, lamps, linen, etc. Keep the walls and the ceiling in light color to visually open up the space.

Choose furniture that fits your room size

One of the best ways to make your room feel spacious is to have furniture pieces that fit well in the space and don’t look oversized.  When you choose furniture pieces, ensure that you measure the available space so that you don’t end up buying something that makes the room crowded. Scale every furniture piece to the size of your room. Same goes for a wardrobe - choose a sliding wardrobe over the swing-door one, as it makes the room look spacious.
